OpenAudio is excited to announce the upcoming release of its next-generation multi-zone streaming amplifiers: HOLOWHAS Ultra170, HOLOWHAS Plus170, and HOLOWHAS Max170.
As upgraded versions of the existing HOLOWHAS Ultra, HOLOWHAS Plus, and HOLOWHAS Max models, the new 170 series introduces enhanced flexibility and system capability for commercial audio deployments.

Native Support for Lo-Z and Hi-Z Outputs
The HOLOWHAS 170 series is designed with built-in support for both low-impedance (Lo-Z) and high-impedance (70V/100V) outputs, eliminating the need for external conversion devices in many applications.
Each zone can be independently configured, allowing integrators to freely mix:
- Low-impedance speakers (4–8Ω)
- 70V / 100V distributed speaker systems
within the same installation.
Per-Zone Control for Maximum Flexibility
Unlike traditional systems that require global configuration, the HOLOWHAS 170 series enables:
- Independent control per zone
- Flexible deployment across different speaker types
- Simplified system design for mixed-use environments
This makes it ideal for projects where different zones have varying power and distribution requirements.
Designed for Modern Commercial Installations
The HOLOWHAS Ultra170, Plus170, and Max170 are optimized for:
- Retail and shopping environments
- Hospitality and multi-area venues
- Corporate and office spaces
- Large-scale multi-zone audio systems
By integrating streaming, amplification, and flexible output configurations into a single platform, the 170 series reduces system complexity and improves deployment efficiency.
A Step Forward from the Previous Generation
Compared to the original HOLOWHAS Ultra, HOLOWHAS Plus, and HOLOWHAS Max models, the new 170 series delivers:
- Built-in Lo-Z and Hi-Z output support
- Greater deployment flexibility
- Reduced reliance on external hardware (such as conversion boxes)
- Enhanced suitability for complex commercial audio systems
